Utica Observer-Dispatch 27 to graduate from fire academy Friday Jun 18, 2009 UTICA — Twenty-seven firefighters from 12 departments will graduate at 10 a.m. Friday after 14 weeks of training at the Utica Fire Academy, according to a city of Utica news release. The ceremony will take place the Masonic Home Administration Building. Capt. Richard G. Redmond, commander of the 108th Infantry Division of the National Guard Armory in Utica, will be the keynote speaker. Local graduates include Albert Moxham Jr. of the Ilion Fire Department; Chad Malley of the Little Falls Fire Department; Gerald Alsante, Michael Burline and William Scherer of the Utica Fire Department; and David Relyea of the Verona Fire Department. |
