"Peron was a Mason," he said Licio Gelli who was one of the most influential men of Italy and the world thanks to the links Propaganda Due (P2), the organization that spearheaded dark. He is credited with involvement in attacks, coups and the Banco Ambrosiano scandal, but was always dismissed.
Licio Gelli's voice comes across the phone line from his home in Villa Wanda, in the town of Arezzo, Italy.
It sounds old-looking, but everything remains in his mind as a succession of slides: their memories of Argentina, the way she met Per�n, how spread its influence over the third Peronist government through P2, its agreements with military dictatorship, his years as a fugitive from justice in European River Plate. Combined power and darkness in memory of one man.
"Peron was a Mason, I started in Madrid in Puerta de Hierro, in June 1973," reaffirmed when asked about the act which became the chief member of the PJ in Freemasonry.
- How was the ceremony?
- It was a simple ceremony. It was not hard. It was a rite called the orecchio teacher (teacher's ear).
Juan Domingo Per�n leaned toward the Grand Master, who was waiting with the silver hammer, the apron at the waist and the band with the symbol illustrated ceremonial Freemason compass and square. When his mouth was near the ear of Licio Gelli, Per�n gently parted lips and whispered in his ear. No one listened.
The secret passage was the way to be accepted. In Madrid, the head of Peronism crossed the initiation ceremony that would grant the Scottish Rite 33rd Degree and become a member of the Supreme Council of the famous lodge Propaganda Due (P2).
Gelli no hesitation about memories of four decades ago, despite his 89 years of age.
Few people in the world were linked to a number of conspiracies such as those given to the boss of the P2. The Italian parliamentary committee that investigated him saddled him with secret service contacts in 32 countries.
He was charged in 1971 participation in a coup attempt against the Italian government, in collusion with the secret services of the Army. He was also identified as a member of the international grouping anti Gladio, which are attributed to attacks in different countries.
What journalistic investigations also associated with the mysterious death of Pope John Paul I and the Banco Ambrosiano scandal, which ended with the banker Roberto Calvi hanging from Blackfriars Bridge in London.
At the time of Spanish exile, and before his third government, he used Gelli Per�n to rebuild ties with the Vatican and use it as a bridge while trying to retrieve the body of Evita, which had been hidden in a cemetery in Milan the false name of Mary Magistris.
At the same time, Argentina deployed Gelli influences through Jos� L�pez Rega, first, and then the Army allies, like former de facto President Roberto Viola and the head of the secret service of the dictatorship, Guillermo Suarez Mason. In a series of conversations with PROFILE reeled of his secrets: his ties with Peron, his support Isabelita, who led the Masonic meeting at Government House Campora and contact with the military that led the 1976 coup.
Gelli offers in your answers snippets of memories of his years in power, to delineate the extent of the influence that the P2 Lodge was in Argentina, both in government and in the Peron dictatorship. Gelli confirms the signing of a three-page document, signed in a secret meeting with the dictator Roberto Viola, which agreed collaboration between P2 and the military government, as he had previously revealed to the Italian journalist Sandro Neri.

We know, finally, that his first contact with Per�n are before the election that he became president of Argentina in 1945. But their relationship became close during exile in Madrid.
In fact, Gelli Per�n traveled on the plane that brought him back to Argentina and deployed its influence in the third Peronist government through the Social Welfare Minister, Jose Lopez Rega, Chancellor Alberto Vignes, and Cesar de la Vega , then the highest authority of Freemasonry in Argentina. In September 1973 the man in the P2 was in Buenos Aires and was decorated by the Peronist leader with the Order of the Liberator San Martin
In parallel, Gelli clinched strong links with warlords overthrow the Peronist government, especially Suarez Mason and Emilio Massera, who then appear in the list of members of the P2 kidnapped for Justice in Italy.
Later, when Raul Alfonsin's government faced an onslaught to stop destabilizing the repressive processes that resulted in the laws of Full Stop and Due Obedience, Gelli was in the R�o de la Plata, fugitive and European communication with their partners of the dictatorship. Just was extradited to Europe in early 1988.
Licio Gelli also beat out his thoughts on current and express that the Argentine people did not behave well with Isabelita. Not treated her well. She did a lot for the people of Argentina.

It was American agent during the Cold War years, when anticommunism served as communicating vessel between Gelli and the secret services of the United States. The Propaganda Due boss always denied being a CIA agent but acknowledges its ties with the American right.
Its closer link was Phil Guarino, who joined the campaigns of Ronald Reagan and George Bush and allowed Gelli participate in the inauguration of Richard Nixon. Others, such as retired CIA agent Richard Brenneke, said that the P2 was finally a creation of the U.S. intelligence community to address the spread of communism in Italy.
After decades of silence, Gelli recently started to slide his secrets in dropper.

La voz de Licio Gelli llega del otro lado de la l�nea telef�nica, desde su residencia de Villa Wanda, en la ciudad de Arezzo, Italia.
Suena avejentado, pero todo permanece en su mente como una sucesi�n de diapositivas: sus recuerdos sobre la Argentina, la forma en que conoci� a Per�n, el modo en que esparci� su influencia sobre el tercer gobierno justicialista a trav�s de la P2, sus acuerdos con la dictadura militar, sus a�os como pr�fugo de la justicia europea en el R�o de la Plata.
Poder y oscuridad combinados en la memoria de un solo hombre.
�Per�n era mas�n, yo lo inici� en Madrid, en Puerta de Hierro, en junio de 1973�, reafirma cuando se le pregunta sobre el acto por el que convirti� al jefe del justicialismo en miembro de la masoner�a.
� C�mo fue la ceremonia?
� Fue una ceremonia simple. No era dif�cil. Era un rito llamado al orecchio del maestro (al o�do del maestro).
Juan Domingo Per�n se inclin� hacia el Gran Maestre, quien lo esperaba con el martillo de plata, el mandil en la cintura y la banda ceremonial ilustrada con el s�mbolo mas�n del comp�s y la escuadra. Cuando su boca estuvo cerca de la oreja de Licio Gelli, Per�n separ� suavemente los labios y le susurr� al o�do. Nadie los escuch�.
El pasaje de secretos era la forma de ser aceptado. En Madrid, el jefe del peronismo atravesaba la ceremonia inici�tica que le conceder�a el Grado 33 del Rito Escoc�s y lo convertir�a en integrante del Consejo Supremo de la famosa logia Propaganda Due (P2).
Gelli no titubea sobre los recuerdos de cuatro d�cadas atr�s, a pesar de sus 89 a�os de edad.
Pocos personajes en el mundo fueron vinculados a una cantidad semejante de conspiraciones como las atribuidas al capo de la P2. La comisi�n del Parlamento italiano que lo investig� le endilg� contactos con servicios secretos de 32 pa�ses.
Se le imput� en 1971 la participaci�n en un intento de golpe de Estado contra el gobierno italiano, en connivencia con los servicios secretos del Ej�rcito. Adem�s fue identificado como miembro de la agrupaci�n internacional anticomunista Gladio, a la cual se atribuyen atentados en diferentes pa�ses.
Investigaciones period�sticas lo asociaron tambi�n con la misteriosa muerte del papa Juan Pablo I y con el esc�ndalo del Banco Ambrosiano, que termin� con el banquero Roberto Calvi colgado del puente Blackfriars de Londres.
En los tiempos de su exilio espa�ol, y antes de su tercer gobierno, Per�n se vali� de Gelli para reconstruir su v�nculo con el Vaticano y para utilizarlo como nexo cuando intentaba recuperar el cad�ver de Evita, que hab�a sido ocultado en un cementerio de Mil�n con el nombre falso de Mar�a Magistris.
A la vez, Gelli despleg� en Argentina sus influencias a trav�s de Jos� L�pez Rega, primero, y luego de sus aliados del Ej�rcito, como el ex presidente de facto Roberto Viola y el jefe de los servicios secretos de la dictadura, Guillermo Su�rez Mason. Cuatro d�cadas despu�s, Gelli custodia en su memoria los secretos sombr�os de la historia de Italia y de Am�rica latina.
En una serie de conversaciones con PERFIL desgran� parte de sus secretos: sus v�nculos con Per�n, su respaldo a Isabelita, la reuni�n mas�nica que encabez� C�mpora en la Casa Rosada y el contacto con los militares que dieron el golpe de 1976.
Gelli ofrece en sus respuestas retazos de recuerdos sobre sus a�os de poder, que permiten delinear la magnitud de la influencia que la Logia P2 tuvo en la Argentina, tanto en el gobierno de Per�n como en la dictadura. Gelli corrobora la firma de un documento de tres p�ginas, rubricado en una reuni�n secreta con el dictador Roberto Viola, donde se acord� la colaboraci�n entre la P2 y el gobierno militar, tal como se lo hab�a revelado con anterioridad al periodista italiano Sandro Neri.
�Me acuerdo completamente de todo �agrega�. Del tiempo en que estaba Lanusse, de c�mo trabaj� para hacer una especie de refer�ndum, de la llegada de H�ctor C�mpora, despu�s del doctor Lastiri. Luego de Per�n e Isabelita. Todo�, afirma.
El capo de la P2 responde tambi�n sobre su contacto con Isabel Per�n.
�Usted habla todav�a con Isabelita?
�S�. Se encuentra en Madrid. Se cas�.
�Se cas� nuevamente?
�S�. Pero no por Iglesia.
Se cas� con un se�or de muchos a�os.
�Cu�l es el nombre?
�No. Lo que le dije es que es un se�or de muchos a�os.
�Usted cont� que, durante el gobierno de Per�n se realiz� una reuni�n de masones de diferentes lugares de Am�rica en la Casa Rosada.
�S�. En la Casa Rosada hicimos una reuni�n hist�rica de todos los grandes maestros de toda Am�rica.
La presidi� C�mpora. Yo, por supuesto, estuve presente.
�De qu� se habl�?
�Hab�a grandes maestros de Argentina, Chile, de Uruguay, de Venezuela, de Brasil. Hab�an venido todos a la conferencia reservada realizada en los salones de la Casa Rosada.
Se sabe, finalmente, que sus primeros contactos con Per�n son previos a las elecciones que lo transformaron en presidente de la Argentina en 1945. Pero su v�nculo se volvi� estrecho durante el exilio en Madrid.
En efecto, Gelli viaj� con Per�n en el avi�n que lo trajo de regreso a la Argentina y despleg� su influencia en el tercer gobierno peronista a trav�s del ministro de Bienestar Social, Jos� L�pez Rega, el canciller, Alberto Vignes, y C�sar de la Vega, por entonces m�xima autoridad de la masoner�a en Argentina. En septiembre de 1973 el hombre de la P2 estuvo en Buenos Aires y fue condecorado por el l�der del Justicialismo con la Orden del Libertador San Mart�n
Paralelamente, Gelli afianz� fuertes v�nculos con los jefes militares que derrocar�an al gobierno peronista, en especial Su�rez Mason y Emilio Massera, quienes luego aparecer�an en la lista de integrantes de la P2 secuestrada por la Justicia en Italia.
M�s tarde, cuando el gobierno de Ra�l Alfons�n enfrentaba una embestida desestabilizadora para frenar los procesos a los represores, que deriv� en las leyes de Punto Final y Obediencia Debida, Gelli se encontraba en el R�o de la Plata, pr�fugo de la justicia europea y en comunicaci�n con sus socios de la dictadura. Reci�n fue extraditado a Europa a comienzos de 1988.
Licio Gelli tambi�n desgran� su pensamiento sobre la actualidad y expreso que el pueblo argentino no se comport� bien con Isabelita. No la trat� bien. Ella hizo mucho para el pueblo argentino.
Cuando estaba el general Per�n no exist�a la miseria que existe actualmente. En Argentina las cosas actualmente no van bien. Estaba mucho mejor cuando estaba Per�n.
Incluso en Italia se estaba mejor cuando estaba el fascismo. Ahora es una ruina. La gente muere de hambre. N�poles est� sumergido en la basura. La gente no puede vivir con lo que gana. Las industrias no existen m�s, est�n todas cerradas. Est�n matando los negocios.
�Es cierto que muchas industrias italianas no pudieron enfrentar la competencia de China �acota Perfil para mantener el canal de di�logo abierto. Finalmente, despu�s de los infinitos juegos de esquives, Gelli avanza hacia algunas definiciones pol�ticas.
�China ocup� pr�cticamente toda Italia. Es una mala se�al �dice.
� Y c�mo cree que se puede invertir el proceso?
�Ahora es tarde, porque China es fuerte incluso militarmente. Adem�s est� aliada con India. En Italia no hay m�s trabajo. Los puestos de trabajo los administran los chinos. Rusia est� contra los Estados Unidos. China e India est�n contra los Estados Unidos. Corea del Norte est� contra los Estados Unidos. Todos los pa�ses �rabes est�n contra Estados Unidos.
Los Estados Unidos est�n solos ahora.
Am�rica no tiene m�s la fuerza que tuvo alguna vez, ni la consideraci�n que tuvo alguna vez. Perdi� toda su confianza porque los Estados Unidos, como sucede actualmente, incluso vio devaluarse su moneda, el d�lar. Antes el d�lar dominaba el mundo.
Fue agente norteamericano durante los a�os de la Guerra Fr�a, cuando el anticomunismo sirvi� como vaso comunicante entre Gelli y los servicios secretos de los Estados Unidos. El capo de Propaganda Due siempre neg� ser un agente de la CIA pero reconoce sus v�nculos con la derecha norteamericana.
Su nexo m�s estrecho fue Phil Guarino, quien integr� los equipos de campa�a de Ronald Regan y de George Bush y permiti� que Gelli participara de la ceremonia de asunci�n de Richard Nixon. Otros, como el agente retirado de la CIA Richard Brenneke, aseguraron que la P2 era finalmente una creaci�n de la inteligencia norteamericana para enfrentar el avance del comunismo en Italia.
Tras d�cadas de silencio, Gelli comenz� en los �ltimos tiempos a deslizar sus secretos en cuentagotas.
