State Journal-Register - Springfield, Illinois Former lodge secretary accused of stealing $80,000. Sep 24, 2011 The State Journal-Register A Springfield man who served as secretary of St. Paul Masonic Lodge No. 500 has been indicted by a grand jury on charges that he stole $80,000 from the lodge. Robert H. Scott, 67, of the 1300 block of Merion Drive is charged with felony theft and 12 counts of forgery, said Sangamon County State’s Attorney John Milhiser. The thefts allegedly occurred while Scott was lodge secretary between 2002 and 2010. He was released from the Sangamon County Jail after posting 10 percent of an $80,000 bond. |
