ST. LOUIS - The former financial services director for Shriners Hospital of St. Louis admits he stole more than $800,000 from the organization that helps sick children.
He funded luxury cars - including two Hummers - a Florida condominium and Las Vegas expenses with the money.
Forty-one-year-old Robert Steven Brodzin of O'Fallon, Mo., pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud. He is scheduled for sentencing in November.
His attorney, Joel Schwartz, says Brodzin deeply regrets any of his actions that reflect poorly on Shriners.
The Shriners say Brodzin acted in a manner entirely contrary to its core values.
